Total Vegetation Control

This is bare ground maintenance for areas that require zero vegetation growth to be present. This is often required around facilities, equipment, or workspaces (gravel yards/pads) to for multiple reasons: fire prevention, safe working conditions, appearances, invasive species control, and wildlife conflict mitigations on worksites. We offer season-long residual programs to ensure that sites are “clean” until the following season and alternative non-residual options for areas that residual herbicide can not be applied. With these methods, we will efficiently and effectively apply the best products on the market that align with your needs.

Selective Vegetation Control

The goal of selective vegetation control is to manage natural areas. The first line of defense to maintaining healthy vegetated areas is maintaining native grasses and shrubs that can out compete invasive species. Another method of treatment is selectively targeting species using herbicides that can target either broadleaf or grass species when used in correct rates and at the right time. Wicking is another way to selectively target only certain plants by only applying herbicide to individual plants that are undesired.

Broadleaf control is used to control broadleaf species and targets only broadleaf plants, such as oxeye daisy, Canada thistle, and tall buttercup. This means grasses are not targeted and we can selectively control invasive weeds without harming the grass species present. The main purpose of this method is to control noxious and prohibited noxious weeds in areas that do not need total vegetation control (ex. site perimeter, ditches, pipelines, fields, and lawns).
Grass control is used to control select narrowleaf species and will only target grass type species. This allows us to control invasive or nuisance grass species in mixed vegetation locations.

Mechanical Control

In areas that require vegetation to be removed or cleared we offer mulching and brushing services. This is commonly done to clear overgrown road access, open sightlines, reduce cover on pipelines/ROWs, provide fire prevention clearance around facilities (flares, equipment, buildings, etc.), remove hazardous vegetation for safety controls, and provide a clean appearance.

Manual Control

In areas that required invasive weeds to be removed but herbicide can not be used we can resort to old fashion hand picking. This is common practice in wetland areas, on the edge of water bodies, in sensitive habitat, and around sensitive/protected vegetation. All noxious and prohibited noxious weeds are bagged and disposed of properly to prevent the spread of weeds off site.
